This doesn't have enough power
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I bought the Smart scoop about 3 months ago. It has been a disappointment. I have several cats that use this box, and it is easily overpowered with dealing with their waste. If the clump that the box is trying to scoop is too big, it just keeps trying to scoop it about 5 times, and then it gives up. And I end up having to scoop for it. This happens everyday. Can you imagine paying over $100 for a self-cleaning litter box, and then having to do it's work for it? My husband feels the problem is the gear mechanism - it doesn't create enough power behind the scooping action to deal with anything but the lightest ball of waste. I have an older Littermaid, and it is still doing it's job, as it has everyday for years. I am sticking with Littermaid from now on.
